Confession No.1

I am a print designer. My eyes glaze over at the mention of CSS. I can count the lines of code I’ve ever written on two hands (to count the lines of clean code, I don’t even need hands). I can never remember what HTML stands for and if there’s a “web standards" segment somewhere in this site, it’s a safe bet I haven’t read it—and certainly didn’t write it. Honestly, I don’t program because I don’t like it. All of this could quite reasonably lead one to the conclusion that I have no business with this blog. However, I do believe in synergy. I’m crazy about it, really. And while the ideas presented here will likely never change the price of tea in China, or stem the pandemic misuse of the term “font," or even catch the eye of some of my favorite design bloggers, I believe there is inherent value in the conversation.

This site only exists through the encouragement [read: incessant nagging], expertise, and patience of Clifton Labrum. Many Thanks.
